There are very few places where natural medicine and modern beauty truly meet.
The Melbourne Apothecary, located inside MECCA, is growing and we're looking for experienced Naturopaths and AHPRA-registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners / Acupuncturists to join our team.
These are 2–3+ days per week paid employment roles within a high-visibility team leading a game-changing partnership with MECCA, blending ear seed application, acupuncture, naturopathic care, cosmetic acupuncture, practitioner-dispensed herbal and nutritional medicine from our apothecary, workshop-style client education and sampling, social media and content creation, and express wellness rituals in a luxuriously designed, architecturally stunning setting.
You'll have the opportunity to practise deeply within your discipline while working alongside practitioners from naturopathy and Chinese medicine, building strong client relationships and introducing thousands of people to natural medicine through an environment unlike any other clinic.

About the Role
Practising at The Melbourne Apothecary is different from working in a traditional clinic. Through our partnership with MECCA, our practitioners meet thousands of people who are curious about natural medicine, including many who are experiencing naturopathy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine or ear seeds for the first time.
High Exposure & Client Demand
With referrals from MECCA Hosts, in-store activations, local collaborations and customers discovering us organically, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with people from their very first interaction with us.
Stunning Treatment Spaces
Practise within our architecturally designed treatment rooms, created to bring together luxury, calm and modern apothecary aesthetics inside MECCA.
A Clinical + Experiential Mix
Depending on your qualifications, you'll work across:
24K Gold Ear Seed appointments
Acupuncture consultations
Cosmetic Acu-Facial treatments
Express and comprehensive Naturopathic Consultations
Personalised liquid herbal and nutritional prescribing through our apothecary
Collaborative care and referrals across our multidisciplinary team
Our approach is warm, highly personalised and collaborative. We want people to feel completely cared for while they're with us, understand their options and have access to the broader expertise of our team when another practitioner or modality can support their care.
Alongside clinical practice, you'll contribute to customer education, workshops, sampling experiences, social media and content creation, becoming one of the visible faces of The Melbourne Apothecary.
Paid Employment Role
These are paid employment positions for 2–3+ days per week.
Availability on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is essential, with flexibility to support additional days, events and activations as required.

Who We’re Looking For
We're looking for practitioners with a minimum of one year of clinical experience who are confident practising autonomously, warm, engaging, organised and comfortable working in a busy environment. You have access to, and take responsibility for, your own ongoing clinical mentoring and professional development, love what you do, enjoy meeting people and are excited by the opportunity to represent natural medicine within MECCA.
Naturopaths
We're looking for:
A BHSc in Naturopathy or equivalent recognised qualification.
Membership with a recognised professional association.
Confidence working autonomously across both express and comprehensive naturopathic consultations.
Excellent working knowledge of practitioner-only nutritional supplements and liquid herbal medicine, with confidence prescribing and dispensing directly from our apothecary and helping clients understand how to use their prescriptions.
Strong clinical skills across gut health, skin, hormones, stress, sleep and preventative healthcare.
The ability to translate complex health information into practical recommendations people can understand and use.
Chinese Medicine Practitioners / Acupuncturists
We're looking for:
Recognised Chinese Medicine qualifications and current AHPRA registration.
Confidence working autonomously across acupuncture, ear seed and cosmetic acu-facial consultations.
Training and experience in tui na, cupping, gua sha.
Training in, or experience with cosmetic acupuncture.
Someone who enjoys the energy and pace of a busy clinic, including delivering back-to-back 24K Gold Ear Seed appointments.
A collaborative approach and an enjoyment of working alongside practitioners from other disciplines.

Enjoy a full diary and can move comfortably between different appointment styles throughout the day.
Communicate clearly and make health information accessible and useful.
Build long-term therapeutic relationships, confidently communicate the value of ongoing care and help clients understand their next steps.
Recognise when clients could benefit from the wider healthcare available at The Melbourne Apothecary and confidently introduce them to other practitioners and services within our team.
Work collaboratively and value the expertise of other practitioners.
Are confident (or building confidence) speaking with small groups and appearing on social media.
Bring initiative, adaptability and ideas to the team.
Enjoy being visible, meeting new people and representing natural medicine inside MECCA.
Care deeply about excellent clinical practice and creating exceptional client experiences.

The Melbourne Apothecary was founded in 2020 by the directors of Fertile Ground Health Group (established in Melbourne in 2001) and brings natural healthcare into MECCA through a partnership unlike anything ever done before.
